Book the slot before you pack

The famous rooms are no longer a walk-in. If you want the interior, the ticket is part of the itinerary, not a surprise at the door.

A lot of first visits still assume you can turn up. You cannot. The Prado is a morning with a slot. Westminster Abbey is the same. The Reichstag dome is free, and it is still a reservation.

The Anne Frank House is the sharp version of this: weeks ahead, or you do not go in. The canal is still there. The annex is not a thing you add because you are on the Prinsengracht.

Book the one interior that matters. Leave the rest of the city as walking. A week of doors you cannot open is not a cultural programme. It is a queue.
